中東企業有限公司起源於1928年瀋陽東奉釀造株式會社，並於1947年移至台北。1965年東奉公司和中東株式會社合併成立中東株式會社台北分公司，任命陳壯夫先生擔任總經理職務。至1974年經中東株式會社董事會決議成立中東企業有限公司於臺北，嗣後陳壯夫先擔任董事長兼總經理至2014年，直至陳先生於2014年辭世，後由其女陳寶蓀女士續任董事長兼總經理至今。

Company Background
We at TEWE always focus on problem solving first, and whether or not we can get the business is an issue to come later. The key is our best services to render and our integrity to protect. That’s how we have served our local petrochemical clients in Taiwan for over forty years.
TEWE started its initial operations as Toho Brewery Company as early as 1928 in Manchuria, China, which was later relocated to Taiwan in 1947 during the Chinese civil war, and was renamed in 1965 as Chuto Kabushiki Kaisha, Taipei branch office to conduct extensive business cooperations with its Japanese suppliers.
Subsequently in 1974, we further changed our name to TEWE as a result of internal corporate reorganizations while our founder Mr. C. F. Chen was appointed as the general manager, and later as the company Chairman, who had been working in such capacity until he passed away in 2014, to be succeeded by his daughter Nancy Chen since then.
TEWE now represents foreign suppliers around the world in US, Japan, Europe and China and is now continuing serving its petrochemical clients in Taiwan in pursuit of not only the same company goal to serve existing clients by solving their problems first as laid down by Mr. C. F. Chen, but also additional business exposures to include decarbonization projects as promoted by Ms. Nancy Chen recently.
