2025 Taiwan CCS training session

Mr. Matt Healey of Pace CCS Ltd. has on 28 and 29 August late last week completed his (the third time) two-day CCS training session in Taiwan, cohosted by Taiwan East East Enterprises Ltd.(TEWE) and Taiwan Carbon Capture Storage and Utilization Association (TCCSUA).

Throughout the entire session this time, there has been more than 40 attendees working as refinery factory site managers, CCS engineers, and EPC managers … etc. in the audience to raise not only technical, but also business development issues to discuss with Matt.

We have noticed that this time, this audience is a lot more responsive, enthusiastic, and eager to participate in future CCS projects in Taiwan, than ever before.

In response to the questions raised by his listeners, Matt has suggested initial action plan for Taiwan as follows:

- to engage at the very beginning conceptual studies;

- to follow them up with basic designs;

- to seek continuing advice and assistance from the initial design engineering firm, such as Pace CCS Ltd., along the way to proceed with following implementation and operations stages.

- to seek government’s fundings and its policy guidances before the fact - because CCS projects are expensive and usually can not generate profits for private sector industries.

- 從一開始就參與概念研究;

- 隨後進行基礎設計;
